Didn't Plan on Flopping Quads.
I have to reconstruct this hand as my notes are disorganized.
2/5 nlhe at Foxwoods. Table is tight and stable.
I limped 77 from middle position. a couple more limps, the asian gal in the sb with an I-pod raised to 30. I called but the limpers behind me folded. I think this was Harrington's fault. We each had around 350 in our stacks.
flop 7 K 7. rainbow She bet 50 and I froze like a deer in headlights who just flopped quads. I had been planning on playing a set carefully or slowly folding. Quads weren't part of the planning.
I called. Turn was a 9 and she checked. I checked right behind.
River was a low card. No flush draws or anything. She bet 50, I raised to 150 because I didn't think she had top pair or anything. She thought a while and folded.
I don't think there was much of a chance of making money from what was probably her missed big cards or medium pair. If she got away from AK then I salute her. I do need to have some type of idea what I am going to do, I think the flop call was fine but am not sure about the rest.
